Distal Radius Fracture

This is an x-ray of a typical distal radius fracture.

There are many ways to get one of your very own. One of the more fun ways is to go skating at Centennial Lakes.

Ouch!! Love you Mommy. May the cast be sufficient and the 6 weeks go by quickly!

p.s. the reason I deleted the last comment was that I wasn't looking at what field I was typing in and I accidentally typed my whole password at the end of my comment for all the world to see!

In the interest of honesty, that is not my x-ray. The online site where I found it called it a "classic" version of mt fracture and Terry said that was what mine looked like (I was a little "woozy" when the x-rays were being viewed so "didn"t get up" to see them and forgot to ask for a copy)

But, as soon as Terry scans it, I have a photo of the "reduction" in process (that's what they call it when they put the bone back in place) so I will share that in my next post.

mt fracture?

that's what you get when you type with one hand!

The up side of all this is the remarkable way in which a person compensates when a limb is out of use. Watching you open jars with your feet and producing that beautiful series of oils with brushes clenched between your teeth...pure joy.

All my love...
