Attack of the Squirrels

An aggressive squirrel pounced on a 4-year-old boy in an attack last week in Cuesta Park in Mountain View. The attack happened as the boy's mother unwrapped a muffin during a picnic. The boy had to get rabies shot after the attack. He is still getting the shots.

I saw this article on The Drudge Report today. Back when I was at the U of MN, I once had a squirrel climb me!

Have you had a bad squirrel experience?

I didn't know the difference between a squirrel and a chipmunk in my early years, I guess it was just one of those things I was never taught but eventually figured out a little too late in life.

No, but we did have a great squirrel experience during our D.C. trip oh-so-long-ago. We (Dahlens) sat on a park bench in front of the Capitol Building surrupticiously eating Fig Newtons (totally against the rules) and feeding crumbs to this one really friendly squirrel. After a few minutes, we literally had it eating out of our hands. It was so cute! Good thing we hadn't heard about their vicious side, or we would have missed out!
