My pledge: Right now I am going to go around the house and turn on all the lights and flush all the toilets. Just because I want to and it's still legal to do so. Oh, yeah, you are going to support my tax money going to fund them.

All I hear is Heil Obama.

They had me at first. Basically, I didn't have a problem too much until they said we would serve our president and then all their voices and faces became the big face of Obama. Isn't he serving the country?? We don't serve him. That's just weird, cultish, and very very very creepy.
I have to admit, I actually feel scared now. That's scary.
I know. It's like if you say the ad is bad you are against smiling more, or for wasting water, or you don't want to help autistic people or whatever.
By the way, the question that comes to mind is, "Why couldn't these people pledge all these things when W was president?"
Great point about him serving us and not us serving him.

Great quote, Barb. Terry was pointing out that part of the creepiness of this was that they all turned into Obama at the end. Like we are one with or united in Obama.
If they would have had everyone turn into a map of the US or a flag it would have communicated the idea of all Americans doing their part to make the country better.
