The Teal Honda

The deer won.

This was June of 2002 if I recall correctly. Just found this on Chris's facebook.

Two good things about this.

1) Mike Kapala had been sitting in the passenger's seat a few minutes earlier. He was no longer sitting there--a good thing since there was glass all over the passenger's seat and not a speck of glass on the driver's seat.

2) It was a Sunday night about midnight and Aaron Cox was on his way home from work right behind Chris going 65 mph (or whatever the speed limit was there--I think it's 65) on Cedar Ave (right by the zoo) that June night. Chris had just dropped Mike off and was headed home. Aaron saw the whole thing, (deer running, sparks flying, deer flying!) didn't know at the time that it was Chris, but decided he needed to stop and see if the driver needed help, when he got closer, he realized it was Chris and stayed with him till Mr. D. and I arrived about 20 minutes later. So, hats off to Aaron!
